CalWORKs Housing Support Program
The CalWORKs Housing Support Program (HSP) was established in 2014 to foster housing stability for families experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness in the CalWORKs program. HSP offers housing-related financial assistance β such as rental assistance, security deposits, utility payments, moving costs, and hotel/motel vouchers β alongside wraparound supportive services, which may include housing navigation, case management, referrals for legal services, and credit repair.

CA Attorney General Rob Bonta Housing Justice Team
The Housing Justice Team is composed of deputy attorneys general with a broad range of expertise in housing, consumer protection, tenantsβ rights, land use, environmental justice, and civil rights. The goal of this team is to work with state agencies and other partners to address the housing crisis on a systemic level, and, where required, to enforce state laws aimed at increasing housing supply and providing housing security and stability to all Californians.

Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD)
The Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD) is committed to supporting all Angelenos regardless of immigration status. They offer a number of resources and programs for the Los Angeles community.
- Affordable and Accessible Housing Registry: Anyone, including those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, can search and register for housing.
- Affordable Rental Housing: Provides the funding and partners with developers and social services agencies to build, preserve and maintain quality affordable housing, and refers residents to the right resources so they can find the best fit for their needs whether they are looking for rental units or to buy a home.
- Accessible Housing Program: Ensures that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to rent, use, and enjoy affordable housing.
- First Time Homebuyers:
- The LIPA and MIPA programs help first-time, low-income and moderate-income homebuyers purchase homes in the City of Los Angeles by providing loans to cover the down payment, closing and acquisition cost.
- The MCC program provides a dollar-for-dollar reduction to the homebuyerβs potential federal income tax liability. This increases the household income available to qualify for a home mortgage.
City of Glendale
The Glendale Housing Authority has supported the development of numerous affordable housing projects using affordable housing funding, since its inception in 1975. Find affordable housing openings:

Since 2007, this community resource has helped people list and locate housing in the County of Los Angeles, including affordable, special needs, emergency housing, and more. Listing and searches are free.

- Housing and services for persons living with HIV/AIDS: Provides assistance with housing and supportive services for low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS and their families.
- Lead Hazard Remediation Program: Provides grants to property owners to make homes lead-safe and to eliminate health and safety hazards found in the home.
- Handyworker Program: Provides up to $5,000 in home repairs to improve safety, security and comfort for seniors and people with disabilities.
Homelessness
Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD)
The Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD) is committed to supporting all Angelenos regardless of immigration status. They offer a number of resources and programs for the Los Angeles community.
- Homeless Services: Services available include interim housing, shelter, supportive housing, rapid re-housing, public sanitation (restrooms/showers) services, meals, storage of personal property, transportation assistance, alcohol/drug, and mental health counseling, job training, and case management. Additional shelter beds are available during the winter months of December β March.

Eviction Defense Network (EDN)
EDN is a 501(c)(3) community based nonprofit dedicated to stopping displacement and gentrification and to closing the access to justice gap for individuals and families facing eviction in Los Angeles County.

NLSLA provides free legal assistance to nearly 175,000 individuals and families throughout Los Angeles County every year.
